Music 2010

This roundup mix was meant to go on yinnyang.co.uk but got lost in the matrix so until it officially goes up here’s what I’ve been listening to in 2010.

I can’t say I listen to individual songs that much as I usually just give them a quick listen on whatever music blog I’m on. But my choices are mainly based on my introduction to music in my early teens specifically high attention to detail produced tracks with lyrical skill. So it’s no surprise my favourite Duo Em & Dre would be my Number One as well the content being Loyalty which is really important to me. Kush would have pipped it to post if Nate Dogg was on the hook instead of Akon!

Now this part was particularly hard for me as I’m a lover of albums as I feel they encompass the artists entire state of mind and personality. A couple years ago I had 200GB’s of Discography’s! But it was no doubt Eminem would be my Number One with songs like “Talkin To Myself” & “25 To Life”. I have to mention the other albums that just missed out but have got constant replay from me. Nas & Damien Marley - Distant Relatives. B.O.B. - The Adventures Of Bobby Ray. Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty. Nottz - You Need This Music. Cee Lo Green - The Lady Killer. Lloyd Banks - Hunger For More 2. Also notable mentions to the mixtapes by J. Cole & Joe Budden - Friday Night Lights & Mood Musik 4 respectively.
